Coach Randy Smith

Coach Randy Smith is a 1985 graduate of and former baseball player at North Hall High School. During his SR season, he was awarded the team MVP, the Offensive/Batting Title, and the Pitching Award. Randy continued his baseball career at Piedmont College where he played for Coach Steve Hardwood. He was in the starting pitcher rotation for 3 years and earned All Conference both his junior and senior season. Randy was also awarded the Cy Young Award his senior year.

Randy started his coaching career at Chestatee High School as the Pitching Coach during their inaugural season in 2003. He continued several years later by being North Hall’s first middle school in 2012. Randy rejoined the Middle School program in 2024.

Randy has coached various youth travel teams for the past 25+ years. He has been fortunate to coach numerous young men who continued to play at both the collegiate and minor league level.

Randy has been a part of the North Hall community his entire life. He feels that it is truly an honor to coach at North Hall and witness the success of the program over the last 14 years.

Randy is married to Sally Smith, and they have 3 children and 2 grandchildren (Beau and Annie Lynn). Katie (2011), SIL, Trey Pinson (2008), Andrew (2014), and Ty (2020) are all graduates of North Hall.
